Fashion for Paws: Let the Fundraising Begin!

It’s my favorite time of the year…Fashion For Paws! Fundraising kicked off this week for the big event, and the task ahead is not an easy one. As a model in the Fashion For Paws show, I must raise $3,000…And then I get to strut my stuff down the runway with a fashionable pooch! I know it’s a lot of money, but it’s for a great cause. All money raised goes directly to the Humane Society to help homeless, abused and neglected animals. How can you say no to helping innocent puppies and kittens?

I know times are tough for all of us these days, but that should be even more of a reason to help those less fortunate: our four-legged friends. In these tough economic times, more families are forced to give up their pets, causing shelters to be even more over-crowded. There are several ways to sponsor me.

To donate, visit my personal website and click the link: Sponsor Me.” Or, you can mail me a check personally, just make it out to the Washington Humane Society. Comment on this post if you would like my address to mail a check to!

Just named the Best Fashion Event of the Year in the new Holiday issue of Washington Life Magazine, all proceeds from Fashion for Paws directly benefit the more than 20,000 homeless, lost, neglected and abused animals WHS cares for each year in Washington, D.C., as well as supports vital programs such as Humane Education, Human- animal rehabilitation, Humane law enforcement, low-cost spay/neuter, sheltering and adoption. The success of Fashion for Paws 2009 is critical, as we must raise as much money as we possibly can for WHS.

So if you plan on attending the event, (which I highly recommend!) please buy your ticket ($75) through me. All ticket sales go towards helping me accomplish my goal. If you can’t attend the event but still want to donate, please visit my donation page here. No amount is too small, every little bit helps!

Thank you in advance on behalf of the animals of Washington, D.C. Your support means more than you know.
