A good story for a change! A dog was missing and returned to it’s owner after a park ranger found him… Another ray of light in this story: The dog’s owner posted a big reward…and the park ranger says he’s donating half of the reward money to the humane society and the other half to parks service. Now that’s a feel good kinda story.
PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) – A West Tennessee man has been reunited with his late wife’s dog after he posted a $10,000 reward for the dog’s return.
Rick Volner of Parsons, Tenn., told The Paducah Sun someone took the carrier containing the black Labrador retriever from the back of Volner’s pickup truck while he was inside Rockabilly’s Bar in Paducah the night of Dec. 27.
The newspaper reported that the dog was found by a Paducah Parks ranger in Stuart Nelson Park on late Thursday night.
The parks department declined Volner’s reward money, but Volner said he planned to donate half of the reward to the humane society and the remainder to the parks service.
