An animal protection group is upping the reward for information about a dog that was found dead with it’s mouth duct-taped shut.
The animal was found on Tuesday at a Westbound on-ramp of Interstate 64 in Rowan County.
A full exam of the dog’s remains is planned.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the animal’s death.
The reward was made possible by The Humane Society of the United States, Saving the Animals of Rowan County and private donations.
