Rolex Kentucky!

I had the privilege of volunteering at the Rolex Kentucky 3-day event this weekend in Kentucky on behalf of Lexington Humane Society. Of course it was a blast, beautiful horses, people

from all over the world, but the best part…was getting to play with all the dogs from Lexington Humane Society!

The dog I walked most of the day, Sniffers, got adopted! LHS also adopted 3 other days. What a great day! There are still SO many other pups that need good homes, though. Check out all of LHS’s adoptable dogs here!

Adoption success at this year’s Rolex event!

otis-ainsleyOtis, a 1½ year old pitbull came to LHS along with 10 other dogs in mid-March.  For the next month, Otis patiently waited for a new home, but very few people expressed interest in this loving pup.  Our adoptions team therefore decided to take this sweet and

gentle dog to the LHS tent at the Rolex 3-Day Event in hopes of finding him a forever home.  While at Rolex, he met the Hagan family.

The Hagan’s immediately fell in love with Otis, especially their daughter Ainsley.  Before the event ended the Hagan family had de

cided to adopt Otis. Ainsley and Otis bonded quickly and she spent the following day showing him off to the numerous Rolex attendees.  I

t was an exciting day for both Otis and the Hagan family.  Right is a photo of Otis with his new forever friend, Ainslee on the ride home.

LHS has many sweet animals like Otis who are waiting patiently for their forever home.  Visit us at 1600 Old Frankfort Pike or at our Satellite Adoption Center at PetSmart in Hamburg and meet your potential forever friend.  CLICK HERE to see some of the animals
