UPDATE: The Clark County Regional Medical Center has issued an apology to Catherine Hall, the woman who says she was forced to leave the hospital after bringing her service dog into the lobby. It reads: “Our staff members are trained to recognize common markers of service animals, such as collars and vests. Once we confirmed this dog was a service animal, the visitor and service animal were encouraged to visit the patient. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience this situation might have caused the family. Our priority is to serve our community and meet the healthcare needs of our patients and families.”
I spoke with Catherine, she says she’s pleased they have acknowledged their mistake.
