Family Vacay!

Oh what a much-needed relaxing vacation that was! If you’ve never heard of Daufuskie Island – add it to your list of places to go. This TINY island is only accessible by boat…but it’s totally worth the 45 minute trip.

Off the coast of South Carolina, the island is only inhabited by about 250 people. The total island surface is just 8 square miles— within the maximum length of 5 miles and maximum width of 2.5 miles. There are only a few cars on the island, most people travel by golf cart. There are several restaurants, with local, fresh food. My favorite was the restaurant at historic Bloody Point, Eagle’s Nest. Marshside Mamma’s is another favorite – and Daufuskie Crab Company is the place for the island’s famous deviled crabs!

Hope you enjoy some of our family pictures…
