My dear friend Torrey is a girl-about-town… her latest project is the Next Generation of Hope – which is an incredible organization that helps Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere) and its efforts to provide quality health care, health education and humanitarian assistance in more than 30 countries around the world. Sounds like a lot of work, right? Well that’s why they need your help.
This weekend I got my first taste of the “next generation” of fundraising for Next Gen – at an event for the group at Lava Barre. Talk about getting your money’s worth! A $20 donation got me a work out (cough, butt-kicking) at the Lava Barre studio in Arlington. My money did a lot of good that day – it helped me shed some calories and helped people in need.
