There’s something about this fall weather that makes me want to light every candle in my house. Anyone else feel me? I have a few go-to candles that are almost always glowing at home, my current favorite is a throwback to my old home! ROAM Candles are inspired by cities around the world, like Paris, London, NYC, San Fran and Washington, DC. The DC one is just dreamy, with Cherry blossom, cassis, white cashmere and nectarine notes.
My other favorite flammables: Tyler Candles! These babies last forever and seriously make the entire house smell divine.
Here in Nashville, I always have at least one OAK Candle burning in the house. They’re locally made, too!
But if you don’t want to have candles in every nook & cranny, here’s a little something I do to make my home smell like fall.
This is something my mom used to do in our house growing up, and now I’m sharing the genius trick with you!
What you’ll need:
-Cinnamon (several tablespoons)
-Whole Cloves (several whole cloves)
-Ground Cloves (several tablespoons)
-Orange peel 3-5 orange peels
NEXT: Fill a small pot of water and drop in all the ingredients. Bring it to a boil, then turn it down to a simmer and keep it on a summer for 30 to 45 minutes.
-Every now and then add water and turn up the temperature again to get the juices and smell flowing!
**Bonus: Switch up the recipe with your favorite scents, like rosemary or nutmeg!
