It’s no secret I am not a very good cook. I can, however, bake a little and a fancy cocktail is always in my repertoire. For Thanksgiving this year, I made an appetizer, a side dish and a cocktail that I wanted to share with you all!
First, let’s start with the booze. This drink was so easy and super tasty, perfect for fall. It’s a boozy-apple cider mimosa!
APPLE CIDER MIMOSAS:
What you need:
1. Grab a small plate and fill it with cinnamon & sugar
2. Wet the rim of the flute and dip it in the sugar and cinnamon
3. Pour in apple cider and champagne
4. 4. Add thinly-sliced apples for garnish
EASY, yummy and beautiful fall cocktail!
BRIE & CRANBERRY BITES:
Now for the appetizer! This one really surprised me (and my guests). It was the perfect pre-dinner snack to tide us over until the big meal.
Here’s what you need:
-8 oz wheel brie
-can of whole-berry cranberry sauce
-1 tube crescent dough
-mini muffin tins
-almond slivers or chopped pecans
This one is super easy, too! Preheat the oven to 375. Grease up that mini-muff tin and then roll out the dough. Along the perforated edges, smooth them together then cut into little squares. Put the squares in the muffin tins.
Slice the brie into little pieces and put them on top of the dough in the tin. Add a few berries from the sauce, almond slivers or pecan and a tiny bit of rosemary.
Pop it in the oven for 15 minutes and there you go!
Note – if you don’t have mini muffin tins this works, too. I just made my squares bigger.
